New Trainer Extends Certex Training Portfolio

CERTEX UK, Europe’s leading distributor of wire rope and lifting equipment, has appointed a new full time trainer to join the  rapidly expanding training division.

David Middlemiss joins the company with a 10 year career as a training specialist. David entered the industry after a career in the armed forces.

He started his career as a ITSSAR (Independent Training Standards Scheme and Register ) registered forklift  instructor whilst also working as a peripatetic assessor for training companies working as far afield as Afghanistan and Africa.

David is a registered instructor/Assessor with ITSSAR and City and Guilds . He is also a qualified NVQ assessor for specialised plant and machinery such as Mobile Elevated Work Platforms.


This experience enables CERTEX TRAINING to expand the already extensive range of courses offered by CERTEX.

The new courses include:

  • First Aid CIEH (Chartered Institute of Environmental Health) Approved Course
  • Mobile Elevated work platforms Operator
  • Telescopic Container Handler Operator

CERTEX is already a recognised industry leader in training and has nine LEEA (Lifting Equipment Engineers Association) accredited courses including Lifting Gear Examination, Wire Rope Examination, LOLER and PUWER, Wire Rope Socketing, Slinger Signaller, Electric Overhead Travelling Crane, Mobile Crane, Lift Supervisor and Appointed person - Lifting Operations.
